Mini Reviews of the Best Slot Machine Related Websites and Webpages on the Internet

This Dateline Hollywood article about "The World Series of Slot Machines" was one of the funniest things I've ever seen regarding slots, even though it's a little bit irreverent. The article manages to poke good-natured fun at both slot machine players and GSN and all their poker and blackjack tv shows at the same time.

Definitely worth checking out.

This New York Times page about slot machines and the psychology behind slots play was fascinating. The article is about 8000 words long and goes into great detail describing the personality of some of the folks in the slot machine design industry, and how the guys at IGT think about what new slot machines to launch. The statistics about what Americans spend on slots in a year was an eye-opener too. The article requires a membership at the New York Times to read, or you can purchase JUST that article for $3.95.
Learn to Play Slot Machines here. A lot of websites on the subject of slot machines are salesy to the extreme. "Play at this online casino" they say, or "come get your big bonus here!" This site is refreshing and unique, with lots of good quality information for anyone who's interested in how to play slot machines, and how to have more fun while they're playing them. Online slots at Slots Hero is an interesting site with a few unique sections. They have a section about slot machine manufacturers and a section on the legalities of owning a slot machine by state.
The Wizard recommends another guide to how slot machines work from Vegas Reference, and it's a useful resource too. I'd feel guilty leaving this site off the list of resources. All Slots Games contains a lot of solid rich content regarding slots and slot machine games too. The site includes articles about odds and strategy, and tips about which slots to play.
Another great place for casino slots is Monkey Slots, which offers a free slot game with reels full of...you guessed it, monkeys. Lots of fun, and a lot of great information about slot machine games too. Gamblecraft Online Casino guide is one of my favorite sites for finding free casino game software tutorials for slot machines and even video poker. Gamblecraft also does a find job of ranking and outlining online casinos.
The Wizard of Odds has a great guide to the loosest slots in Vegas, and a full explanation of how slot machines work. If you're interested in slot machine odds and strategy, then this is definitely worth a visit. (By the way, we were recently listed in the Wizard's gambling games directory, which is a big thrill for us, since he's extremely selective about the sites he links to.) 24 Hour Slots offers descriptions of every online slot machine game you could imagine. Definitely a cool website about slots.

Online Slots Galore is a pretty neat site, and full of good information. The website explains the different types of slots, the history of slot machines, strategy, and a whole section about video slots.

If you're looking to buy a slot machine, then you might be interested in Slot Machines USA. They're a reputable casino slot machine dealer that caters to people in the USA. They even have some very cool antique slot machines for sale. Definitely worth checking out. Online Slot Machines from Slots Jam - One of the better guides to online slots and slot machines that I've seen on the internet. The slot machine forum there is definitely worth visiting, and it's going to be a great place to meet new slots players. (There aren't a lot of forums devoted exclusively to slots players on the internet.)
Another site with great reviews of online slot machines. The reviews are organized by the type of slot machine game, so there are sections for classic slot machine games, progressive slots, bonus slots, and multi-line slots. Definitely worth checking out. Slot Machines Casino is a pretty neat little slots casino, including free single line slots, multi line slots, progressive jackpots and video slots online. They also present pretty extensive information about the online casino jackpots they offer in a separate section.
This reprint of a 1999 article about whether or not slot machines are honest comes from American Casino Guide. It's relevant still, and well worth reading if you're interested in slot machines. John Robison's slots column at Casino City is a neat resource. Robison is the author of The Slot Expert's Guide to Playing Slots and he co-hosts a radio program about slot machines and gambling called The Good Times Show.  He is also a video poker expert. Most of his columns focus on the mathematical aspect of slot machine games and expectations. The columns are updated frequently, at least once a week.
