Slot Machine and Gambling Book Reviews
I've reviewed several books about slot machines. You can find those
slot machine reviews in this section. Click on the links to get more
detailed descriptions of the books.
Million Dollar Video Poker - This book by Bob Dancer is a great
reference for those who want to know about video poker. He is a world
renowned expert in the field, which is evident in the book. His book
could be termed "life lessons" as this is Dancer's story on how he made
over a million dollars playing video poker. The book has tips and tricks
that he has used over the years, as well as some interesting insight
into who he is - which makes for a great read. Definitely a must do!
John Patrick's Slots - It is hard to tell what the worst part of
this book is - the subtitle: "A Pro's Guide to Beating the One Armed
Bandits," the picture on the cover, or the text inside the book. Yes, it
really is that bad. He is condescending throughout the book, and talks
of his "money management" way of playing the slot machines as if it were
fact - which it isn't. If you want a bad read and a way of losing
money (both by playing his slot machine strategies and through the
purchase of the book), then by all means buy it.
How to Win Millions Playing Slot Machines! ...or Lose Trying -
Frank Legato's book is not bad, it actually had some very good points on
playing the slot machines. The humor gets to be a little too much at
points, like he is trying to hard, but overall there are chapters that I
mention that are must reads for any slot machine newbie. One chapter in
particular I found incredibly funny, so if you're trying to get an
introduction into the world of slot machines - this isn't a bad place to
start.
I've also recently added
a profile of slots writer
Frank Legato which gives his background and why you might want to
listen to him on some of the points of his book.
