Legato is one of the giants of the gaming literature world. He's been
writing about the subject since 1984, when he founded the magazine,
Casino Gaming. This publication remains one of the industry
standards to this day.
Legato has sinced moved on to other projects, and remains a prolific writer on the subject to this day. He has become a published author in the last few years, bringing his trademark humorous prose style to the subject of gaming.
Mr. Legato graduated with a degree from Duquense University in Pittsburgh. He attained a masters in Communications after achieving a bachelors in Journalism from the same school.
Like many of today's gaming experts, Legato spent a few years in the "real" business world. Much of his leisure time was spent at the casinos. At the age of 28, he decided to try his hand at writing about his gambling experience.
Casino Gaming became a big success, and made Frank Legato's name in the business. He was the slots editor for Casino Gaming for many years, and he remains a sometime-columnist for the publication, though most of his time these days is spent at speaking engagements or writing online articles and books.
Legato's most popular activity is "Perfectly Frank", a humorous column he's written for several years for Strictly Slots magazine.
Humor is what distinguishes Frank Legato from other gambling authors. He combines a devil-may-care attitude with a solid grounding in game theory to make his presentations both informative and entertaining.
This talent was apparent in his successful 2004 book about slots, How to Win Millions Playing Slot Machines...or Lose Trying.

This is one of the pleasures of reading Frank Legato. To this day, he keeps abreast of the gaming industry through long spent in the casino. This does little to distract him from his busy work schedule as a writer and editor.
