At the 2007 Annual Best of Gaming Awards, which is sponsored by Casino Player Magazine, International Game Technology swept the awards claiming 15 of 20 possible awards. The competition is sponsored by the magazine, and is determined by slot machine player voting, and showed that the company is truly an industry leader among slot machine manufacturers.
The company was fortunate enough to take all four first place awards – taking the Favorite Reel Slot Machine with their Double Diamond; Favorite Video Slot Machine with Wheel of Fortune; Favorite Bonus Round with Wheel of Fortune as well; and Favorite Video Poker Machine with Deuces Wild.
They also too two second places, two third places, four fourth places, and three fifth places in the same above categories. They were also honored for the number of popular themes that they offer with their slot machines – such as Star Wars™, Texas Tea™, Cleopatra™, Double Bonus Poker™, Double Double Bonus Poker™, Triple Diamond™, Jacks or Better Poker™, and Red, White & Blue™. They were also honored for the fact that they are constantly introducing new themes and products throughout the year, and have one of the most extensive libraries offered by any slot machine developer.
They also got four of the “Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products” and a gold award for their sb™ Service Window technology at the recent Casino Technology Summit in Vegas. The Summit is sponsored by Casino Journal Magazine, and is attended by 400 people, of whom 300 vote on their choices for the top three products among the Top 20 winners.
