PA Gaming Board Posts JobsIf you are interested in becoming a member of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, they have recently posted both job classifications and compensation plans for general consumption. They have listed them at www.pgcb.state.pa.us and you can click on the employment link to get more information. If you look you will find that the jobs pay fairly well, investigators can earn up to $66,000 a year, while Executive Secretaries can earn up to $70,000. In other PA gaming news, it has been found that slot machine players are certainly playing at the casinos. They have put more than $26.9 million into the state gaming fund in March, just from the slot machines. For the fiscal year they have brought in more than $371 million. This gets split between state and local governments, with $25.9 million going to property tax relief. That makes fiscal YTD $68.4 million. PhiladelphiaPark brings in the most in wagers, more than all of the other racetrack casinos. Just over the course of one week, they posted $59.4 million in wagers and paid out $54 million to winners. Harrah’s Chester Downs is close behind them with $59.1 in winnings and $53.5 in payouts. Presque Isle Downs comes in third with $41.2 in wagers and $37.4 in payouts and the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs brings in $35.5 million and pays out $32.1. The state has almost 8,000 slot machines up and running, and the state has already received more than $100 million in tax revenue.
