Motorcycle Gang Busted
Clinton Township was the scene of an FBI raid for the books.
Federal agents have been watching the motorcycle gang The
Devil’s Diciples for some time, and finally made their move.
The nationwide motorcycle gang was in possession of 55 pounds of
marijuana, 1000 Vicodin pills, 1.5 pounds of Methamphetamines,
42 fire arms, $12,000 in cash, and 15 slot machines. Needless to
say that everything confiscated is against the law and the
motorcycle gang is in a lot of trouble.
The group, which spells their name wrong on purpose, was headed
by Jeff Garvin Smith – who also goes by the name Fat Dog. They
arrested Smith for possessing two sets of body armor – which is
illegal for a convicted felon such as himself to possess.
It would seem that the gang was running an illegal drug
operation, but they were also running illegal slot machines. The
slot machines had money in them at the time of the arrest, and
it would seem that they were profiting greatly from them. The
slot machines were taken into police custody.
They also arrested 17 of their members who were at the premises
at the time of the raid. They took the gang members’ clubhouses
which were located in Port Huron and Clinton Township. They also
arrested Paul Anthony Darrah of Macomb Township, who is the
group’s National Vice President, and Cary “Gun Control” Dale
Vandiver – who is their “National Warlord.” They, and all of the
others that were arrested were charged with using a
communication facility in furtherance of drug trafficking.
According to the police press release, these are the names,
ages, and locations of those arrested: Alexis Catherine May, 56,
of Burchville; John “Bear” Renny Riede, 61, of Bay City;
Christopher “Slomo” Raymond Marrocco, 31, of Algonac; Gary Lee
Nelson, 42, of Marine City; Charles Edward McCarthy, Jr., 48, of
Roseville; Dean Anthony Tagliavia, 41, of Port Huron; Lauri Ann
Ledford, 39, of Kimball Township; Jennifer Lee Cicola, 38, of
Macomb Township; Vernon Nelson Rich, 44, of Kimball Township;
Deborah Ann Heacock, 46, of Port Huron; Michael Vernon Darrah,
47, of Marine City; Howard Joseph Quant, 52, of Jeddo; Timothy
Paul Downs, aka Space, 51, of Chesterfield Township; Paula
Mileha Friscioni, 43, of Fraser.
In addition they reported that David Roy
Delong, known as Reverand, of Port Huron was charged with making
false statements to authorities in addition to the other
charges.
