Revenue Not Being
Distributed Fairly
Many
times when a slot machine casino comes into a town, it is
expected that there is money coming into the city where the slot
machines are located. This is not necessarily the truth. The
problem is that sometimes when the laws are written for the
revenue to come in, the state is not always willing to give up
some of that money. Sometimes the state takes the money and then
the city that is hosting the slot machines is left scrambling to
pay for the additional resources that needed to take care of the
city now that the games have come in.
But in But there are lawmakers that are trying to have that changed, as there are residents that are pushing for it. They want to be sure that they have the necessary funds for the extra police, etc. that they need to support the extra people that have come to the town to play the slot machines. The state has not been dispersing the money to the tracks the way that they should have according to residents, and they want to see that changed. They do not feel that they should have to pay for the state making money off of them.
