Watching Their P’s and Q’s
When it
comes to gambling and slot machines there is no reason why a
casino cannot follow the rules, or so you would think. The fact
of the matter is that it is not all that unusual for casinos to
have something that falls through the cracks, and they end up
having to pay for whatever that infraction is. These slip ups
can be anything from underage slot machine gambling to underage
drinking and everything in between. There are things that they
can get fined for that might seem like they are not even their
fault.
Some casinos have found themselves under fire for the way that they handle their money. If a cashier steals money from the till for example the casino will be in trouble because they did not take the necessary precautions to keep their employees in check. Money has to be watched all the time. Let’s say that a slot machine has its revenue sitting there for more than a specified period of time – then the casino is going to get fined for that as well. There are fines obviously that end up happening more than others – things like underage slot machine gambling. Sometimes those that are underage manage to sneak in and play the slot machines, and although it is not legal, it is a common thing for a casino to have to pay on or explain. The fines for infractions can be quite low or in some cases very high depending on how bad the thing is that triggered it.
