Aruze Corp in American SlotsNevada is going to have a new slot machine manufacturer on the books, a Japanese company as a matter of fact. The regulators have approved a subsidiary of Aruze Corporation to manufacture and distribute slot machines within Las Vegas. The slot machine license will become permanent after a two-year limited trial period. If all goes well, they will have license to distribute and sell the slot machines, which puts them indirect competition with the American slot machine companies. The company acknowledges that it will take the two years to get them situated with the American market. There will be language barriers, cultural differences between the company and the town, all kinds of things that can take some time to work out. Aruze is confident that at the end of the two years, all will be working properly and they will be issued the permanent slot machine license. They said that they think by 2007 that they will be selling nationally - as they also hold licenses in Mississippi and New Jersey. The company not only makes and sells slot machines, but they also have shares in Wynn Resorts, and they are planning on opening a new casino in Macau this year. And yes, they will be using Aruze slot machines. Back to August Index - Slot Machines Fan |
