Oregon has spent years trying to get another state park, and they have finally succeeded. Funny enough, it took slot machines to get it built. The park is going to be huge, and it will be the first state park in more than 30 years – and it is just one of many more to come. The Governor has been adamant that the state will have more parks for people to visit and enjoy. He fully knows that not only is it good for their citizens, it will bring in revenue from other states as tourists come to enjoy them as well. During his time as governor, he has brought in three new parks, with three more to start construction over the next three years.

The state used slot machines to pay for its parks, and its residents are pretty happy to see something positive come out of the gambling. The governor decided that they would earmark a certain amount for parks, and then made it possible for the parks to get even more money from the gambling. He helped out by approving video slot machines as part of the lottery mix as well.

Many are thanking the slot machines for making the parks possible, but those that know the truth, know it is all due to the Governor making it happen – slot machines or not.
