Theories Are Not Always TrueMany people who have spent some time in a casino playing the slot machines start to think that they know what they are doing. They think that because they spend so much time playing the slot machines that they know how they work and what the casino is thinking. However, this is usually not the case. For example, many slot machine players think that at certain times during the day the casino will have the machines set to pay out more or less. This of course is not the case. The slot machines are all set at the same amounts each and every day, no matter what time it is. Some say that the more people in the casino the better the slot machines pay out. With more people around, the casino will let more money go because they are doing well. This is not the case either, for there is no way to change the way the machines pay out unless you have passed it by the Gaming Control Board first. Some
even think that they play better when using cash instead of the
new ticket-less technology. They say that when playing cash the
slot machines don’t know how much you have won – and they will
pay out more. However, if you put in a ticket, the slot machine
knows how much you have already won and will not pay out as
well. It goes without saying that this isn’t true. Back to August Index - Slot Machines Fan |
