Rise in Revenues in Connecticut

After months of complaining about the little amount of revenue that their slot machines have been bringing in, the Connecticut casinos seem to be changing their tunes. In fact, they are all too happy to report that they have actually had a breakthrough and are now showing increases in their slot machine revenues for the first time in more than two years. The month of July seems to have been a very good month for them altogether.

Foxwoods Resort Casino has been happy to report that they are up 5.3% in their slot machine revenues and the amount they kept out of the $774.9 million wagered was $64.1 million. This was their first increase in more than a year. Mohegan Sun has not had an increase in their slot machine revenues for two years so they were even more excited to show their increases to the tune of 8%. They brought in $892.2 million to bring in $70.3 million for their casino.

They said that they had even more players there as they were offering free slot machine playing to many clients, but even still you can see the increase in the amount that people are gambling by these numbers. They are hopeful that this is an indication of what is to come for the slot machine industry and that the economy might just be turning around the way that they had hoped it would. One thing is for sure, you cannot beat these numbers or these increases after such a long time.
