Free Drinks at Slot Machines

When Pennsylvania agreed that there could be unlimited free drinks served to slot machine players, many were downright shocked that they would allow that. After all, this is a fairly religious state, and some feel they would still have prohibition if they could. Therefore, allowing free drinking at their new slot machines seems tantamount to treason in the state.

Not only did free drinks at slot machines shock the residents of PA, it also shocked neighboring states. Delaware was particularly shocked at the ruling and stresses that they will not be offering free drinks to their slot machine players anytime even remotely soon. Officials for the state said that they were shocked and “disappointed” in “the Pennsylvania Legislature and in Gov. Rendell for doing something like that. It's simply irresponsible from a public safety standpoint."

The casinos that will be offering the free drinks to the slot machine players say that they have strict rules on responsible drinking and their employees will be trained to handle any problems that arise. Between the slot machine drinking and the fact that the state is considering adding table games to the newly opened slot machines, one has to wonder what has become of the Pennsylvania of days gone by.
