Las Vegas Sands Wants China Slot Machines The Las Vegas Sands Corporation owns and operates some of the largest slot machine casinos in the world. The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino is one of theirs, as is the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada – as is the Sands Macao Casino in Macao, China. The slot machine company also is busy building more casinos and resorts on the Cotai Strip in Macao. But somehow none of that was enough for the slot machine giant. They are also building Singapore’s first slot machine casino. This should be incredibly profitable for the company as many of the Las Vegas high stakes gamblers are Asian. Instead of having Asian gamblers come to Vegas to play the slot machines and tables, they are bringing Las Vegas to the Asian gamblers. The Venetian Macao is planning on 4,100 slot machines and 850 table games with its 2007 opening. They are then planning on expanding to 7,000 slot machines and 1,150 table games when completely finished. The Four Seasons Resort is looking at 400 slot machines, and each of their other five sites will have 1,750 slot machines apiece. When finished, the Cotai Strip developments will have a total of 16,000 slot machines. The company has been doing very well, with hotel and slot machine revenues up. They expect next year’s figures to be even better.
