Smoking Ban Hurts Slot Machine Casinos

With England looking to ban smoking in all public places, the slot machine parlors are going to have some problems. England knows that their slot machine business is going to have problems as well, and is trying to think of solutions before it starts.

One option is to bring in portable slot machines that their patrons can take outside with them while they smoke. Another option is to build a shelter for the smokers outside that they can continue to play the slot machines – although they will have to apply for a license to do so. Riva Gaming is going to test out the slot machine portables as well as put in more breaks during bingo games for smokers. They think this will allow the smokers time to smoke and give everyone a chance to play the slot machines.

However, some think that wireless bingo and slot machines will still not be enough. When asked, smokers said that it gets cold outside and a wireless slot machine will not be enough to keep them coming. At this point, slot machine owners are just trying to figure out what they can do to keep players happy, while still abiding by the law.
