Slot Machine Repair Shop RaidedPolice raided what they believe was a repair shop for illegal slot machines last week, and seized several items from the shop while there. They say that the owner was not on the premises at the time of the raid, but that the equipment that was located on the premises was in fact used to make illegal slot machines. They arrested a 42 year old man on the premises, who claimed to be a technician only. He was held for three days while police had him assist them in finding the actual owner of the slot machine assembly shop. They took more than RM25,000 worth of illegal slot machine components, and upon further review were convinced that the components were in fact to be used for creating additional illegal slot machines. The raid took place at 1:00 am, Sunday morning. Nusajaya OCPD Supt Abdul Aziz Ahmad says a thirteen man team raided the illegal slot machine shop, and that it was obviously owned by a gambling syndicate. All they allegedly do there is assemble and repair illegal slot machines. Ahmad
said that the items confiscated were “326 motherboards, 81 power
management units, 70 television monitors, 40 mice, and 24
speakers,” all of which are components used in assembling slot
machines. He reminded the public that if they are found
participating in playing the illegal slot machines they will be
charged with breaking the law as will those that actually own
and operate the machines. Back to December Index - Slot Machines Fan |
