Pennsylvania Slot Machines Bringing in More Than Florida’sPennsylvania has found that they are bringing in more money per slot machine than Florida is. The legalization of slot machines had happened at roughly the same time, but those casinos that are already up and running in PA are putting those in Broward County to shame. Florida’s slot machines are bringing in roughly $217-273 a day; which is roughly around where those in Broward County thought they would be. Broward has two racetracks with slot machine parlors, whereas Pennsylvania will eventually have 14 combined casinos and racetrack slot machine parlors. In Pennsylvania, you see a large increase though over the slot machine revenues coming in. The Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is bringing in $404 per slot machine; Philadelphia Park is bringing in $345 per slot machine; and Harrah’s Chester Casino is bringing in $313 per machine. Some think that the reason they are doing so well is because of the fact that Philadelphia was one of the first areas to get their slot machines running. Up until this point, everyone in that Southern New Jersey/Philly area would go to Atlantic City to play the slot machines. This is no longer the case, as the Philly ones are just as convenient, if not more so for Pennsylvanians.
