Illegal Slot Machine ArrestsRockingham County police have arrested five people under suspicion of operating illegal slot machines. The North Carolina Alcohol and Law Enforcement Agents have been getting calls and tips about illegal slot machine parlors and has started cracking down on them. They raided several convenience stores in Reidsville, Eden and Madison and arrested five people in conjunction with the illegal slot machines. They have been watching the establishments over the past few months and building a case against them. More than a dozen search warrants were issued and more arrests are likely to be made. Those that were arrested for the illegal slot machines were charged with possession and operation of an illegal slot machine and knowingly allowing violations to occur on the licensed premises. Four men and one woman were arrested. Those that were arrested are Ramon Khalil Ganim, 61, of Ramon’s located at 3656 US 220, Building 2, in Madison; Dorothy Bryan Love, 84, of L&S Fast Stop at 1410 W. Harrison Street in Reidsville; Earl Timothy Moore, 61, of Community Mart 1 at 120 Iron Works Road, also in Reidsville; Howard Lee Talley, 59, of Fosters Grocery at 931 W. Harrison Street, again also of Reidsville; and William Eugene Terry, 68, of Williams Hilltop Grocery & Grill at 11074 NC 87 in Eden.
