Waiting on Investigation
The
Aqueduct Entertainment Group was very excited. They had just
been chosen to be the company that handled all of the slot
machines for the state of Some
think that AEG was chosen because of the political clout of Rev.
Floyd Flake even though he holds less than a one percent stake
in the company. They say that Silver
is the one that asked for the investigation into how the slot
machines were awarded to AEG, and he says that there is no room
for speculation about anything having to do with the slot
machines until all of the information has come out and they see
how the decision was made. There are also questions raised
regarding the involvement of Smith as he has ties to a charity
that is involved in the deal as well.
But some of the bigger names that were not chosen are crying foul because of the political ties and the shady way that it seems to have been handled. For now all we can do is wait to see if there was some sort of political wrangling going on, or if AEG really was the right one to handle the slot machines – and everyone else are just sore losers.
