Borgata Has More Than Slot Machines Going for ItThe Borgata Hotel is known for its classy atmosphere, the slot machines, and for their gaming tables. Their casino gambling is top notch, and they just announced the winner of their No Limit poker tournament. Jack Schanbacher of Pittsburgh, PA, was the winner taking home almost $200,000. The casino game had a $500 buy in, and started with 661 people, slowly dwindling down to the final table. Many on hand said that the final table had some of the best gamblers in the world, some of them being online gaming pros. The final table had a $2,500 buy-in; with Schanbacher not the only winner. Richard Friere of Miami Lakes, FL, came in second with $108,937; and Jon Turner, of Henderson, NV, came in third place with a little over $59,000. The Borgata Winter Open is next on the books, with a $5,000 buy in. There are many professional players coming such as Barry Greenstein, Eric Lingren, Amnon Fillipi, etc. They are also planning on having a Heads Up poker tournament. The Borgata is a joint venture between MGM Mirage and Boyd Gaming Corporation.
