Gaming Board Posts Slot Machine Revenue The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has posted the numbers for slot machine revenue for the state. Since the state has legalized slot machines, the board has kept a tally on the revenue that the slot machines have been bringing in, and has posted them on their site. If you go to the Gaming Control Board’s web site – www.pgcb.state.pa.uscq and click on the gaming revenue link, it will tell you the figures for each of the slot machine casinos’ revenues so far. The Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs opened in November, and the Philadelphia Park casino in Bensalem opened in December. Harrah’s Chester Casino & Racetrack is expected to open their slot machine parlor later this month. So far, the slot machines have brought in $8.8 million the first week in January, and $40.4 million since the first one opened. These millions are the amounts that gamblers have lost at the slot machines. Gamblers have actually played $427.3 million into the slot machines. The slot machines have paid out $386.9 million back. The slot machine revenue is slated to go to public education, local government budgets, racetrack purses, and other government funded programs – such as slot machine addiction programs.
