Hundreds of Slot Machines Seized In a surprise raid, more than 200 slot machines were seized from four entertainment locations, and hundreds of thousands of dollars were lost for their owners. The Federal Police CID Director Datuk Christopher Wan Soo Kee led a raid to four different establishments that ended up in the police seizing 241 slot machines. The worth of the slot machines is estimated to be RM723,000. The raids took place in Sekinchan on Saturday night, and the government was pleased at the outcome. They were not however, happy about the fact that all of the illegal slot machine parlors were located right by the Sekinchan Police Station. The raid took place roughly 10 pm with 25 CID agents from the Bukit Aman Federal Police Headquarters – and after raiding the slot machine parlors they detained 11 workers. Wan said that he was holding them under Section 4(b) of the Common Gaming Houses Act. He said he had the right to interview each of the suspects who were working in the slot machine parlors – the parlors were working under their licenses as family entertainment centers.
