Recession Hitting Smaller
Casinos Worse
Pretty
much every business out there was hurt in some way by the
economy. People just aren’t spending money like they used to.
There are some things that people can’t do without like gas and
food – but other than that – people are learning to cut their
spending and save more money.

large casinos in But the
smaller casinos have a much harder time of it. They say that the
bigger casinos might see their slot machines numbers dropping,
but they have more fat to live off of than they do. They say
that they continue to bring in their customers as much as they
can, but it is tough. They know that if someone has a choice of
food or slot machines – they are not going to pick the latter. So they offer things like free cars and other promotions to keep them coming in and playing – but it gets harder and harder each day for them to keep their doors open. They don’t offer thousands of slot machines – usually under a hundred – but they just aren’t getting played. They say that if the economy does not shift soon, many more of them will be closing their doors for good.
