Northern Quest Casino Looking to Expand

It seems that the Kalispel Tribe is planning on expanding their Northern Quest Casino. They have not given many details as to how big or what exactly their plans are, but in an online newsletter the tribe said that they are thinking on adding a hotel, convention center, more restaurants, etc.

The casino is located in Airway Heights, and they say that they are planning on making the details known later on this month, but for now they are working on finalizing many of them. However, according to sources it seems that it may be quite a large expansion for the tribe.

It is not known exactly what else they have in mind, there has been some speculation that they may be looking to add more table games and slot machines, but again that has not been confirmed by anyone. They are however, planning on having it done by 2009.

This will be the third expansion for the casino, with the last one giving them more floor space, an entertainment venue, a buffet, and a bigger gift shop. The tribe has not submitted anything to the city of Airway Heights, but they don’t have to really as they don’t need building permits from the city as they are located on federal trust land.

The tribe currently has a large poker room, table games, keno, and more than 1,200 slot machines. They have 393 members, with a third of them living on tribal land. They have many projects planned but this seems to be the biggest one on the books for now.
