Delaware allowed slot machines to come to their race tracks roughly 11 years ago, but they are not doing what they were supposed to. The whole idea was that you bring in slot machines and you bring people to the tracks. Not only will they enjoy playing the slot machines, but they will also stay to enjoy the track as well.

Unfortunately it is not happening that way. No one is coming to watch the horses. People come to see the slot machines and play with them, but that is all. They are finding that more and more people are enjoying the air conditioned slot machine rooms to the hot grandstand.

With Maryland tracks now calling for slot machines at their locations, the other states are saying that the slot machines didn’t do anything to help their horses, all it did was bring in people who like to play slot machines. They say that those people that they thought it would bring in to watch the races are actually coming to play the slot machines.

They say that most of the people that come in now are only interested in the slot machines, and they want to play them. Other states say that the slot machines were supposed to bring in people to watch the horses, especially since they would be able to increase purses and attract the best horses. However, they say it just didn’t happen that way. All they got were a bunch of people who like to play the slot machines.
