Isle of Capri Casinos Names McDowell and Perry

Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. is pleased to announce that there will be two new filings of positions within the rapidly expanding company. Virginia McDowell will take over as President and COO for the company, and James B. Perry will be joining their Board of Directors. Perry will be assuming his position immediately; McDowell will be taking over as of the end of the month.

McDowell has been in gaming for more than 26 years, and has experience with marketing, operations and technology – which in this business makes her a triple threat. The company’s Chairman and CEO Bernard Goldstein says that McDowell brings and expertise to the company that they need, and that she will be able to help them focus their energies as well as lead them to operating more efficiently.

He also said that the Board of Directors chose her unanimously for the position because she knows the industry and she knows her customers. She has been working for Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. and before that she was with Argosy Gaming Company in Illinois.

Perry is responsible for the turnaround of Argosy Gaming Company back in 1997 and is considered to be an industry expert. He has more than 30 years of experience in the industry leading major gaming operations in “regional and destination markets.” Perry also comes to them from Trump Entertainment Resorts, where he was their President, CEO and a member of their Board of Directors.

Both appointments are subject to regulatory approval, but the company does not foresee an issue with that.
