Here is a combination that we would never have thought of – plumbing and slot machines. Need a hose? Want to play the slot machines? How about an elbow pipe? Slot machine anyone? However, for some strange reason Michael Winfrey thought that they were a good combination, and has been running an illegal slot machine casino at his plumbing business for the past four years.

According to police, Winfrey has been running the illegal slot machine business, and was arrested for it as well as promoting gambling and selling alcohol without a license. He was arrested on twelve counts of possession of the slot machines, and according to the search warrant filed on Monday in Hall County District Court he has been running it since 2005.

Grand Island police say that they received complaints from several people stating that Winfrey was running the illegal slot machine business and so they went there to arrest him. He let them search the premises but would not let them into a padlocked room. It seems that this was the room that had the slot machines in it. Police also searched his apartment where they found cash as well as video cameras that were recording the slot machines.

They returned with a warrant and took the slot machines as well as more than $2,500 in cash. They also found a pop machine that dispensed beer. In addition to the testimony from the man who sold him the slot machines, they also had another informant who told them where to find the money and the slot machines.
