Agents at Mohegan Sun

The agents with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement have a constant presence at all of the state’s slot machine casinos, including the Mohegan Sun. There are five agents that work the casino, with one on duty per shift as a rule. They are responsible for ensuring that the casino follows all the rules and regulations of the casino industry in Pennsylvania, and that patrons are following it as well.

Any violation of the rules will be documented, and can lead to fines. So far the Mohegan Sun is showing a terrific track record with virtually no complaints. However, they say that the biggest part of their job is dealing with the problems of the slot machines themselves, and the complaints that go along with them.

When a complaint is made about a slot machine, it is up to the agents to figure out if the customer is right, or if the casino is. Sometimes it could be that a patron thinks that they have put in more money than they have, or they think they don’t have the right amount of credits, or even they think they have won a jackpot but they haven’t.

The agents look at the security footage to see what went on with the slot machine, and then they proceed from there. Sometimes they open the slot machine to see how much money has been deposited, sometimes they check the internal auditing of the slot machine to see what plays have been made and for how much. For the most part, they say that they have been able to satisfy their customers through these means.

They say that it is just as important for them to protect the casino from being ripped off, as it is for them to make sure that their patrons are being ripped off by the casino. They say both can happen, and that is why they are there.
