Gamblers SuperstitiousMany gamblers are very superstitious. They think that if they play a certain slot machine, or wear a certain shirt while betting that they stand a better chance of winning then if they hadn’t taken the necessary steps to winning. This year they have an extra reason to feel lucky – they are getting a lucky day. July 7th, 2007, has to be lucky for someone, and most people feel it might as well be them. How often does a 7-7-07 date fall, and how often is it going to fall on a Saturday? The fact of the matter is that many know that if they are going to play the slot machines this is as lucky a day as they can get. Any 7-7-7 on the slot machines means that you are going to be a big winner, and casino patrons know that. They honestly believe that their chances are even better though on a day that reflects the result they are hoping to get. Numbers gamblers think that a 7-7-7 date is a good omen, and they are planning on hitting the casinos and their slot machines to make good on it. The next one won’t be around for another 70 years, and many of today’s gamblers won’t be around to enjoy it, so they have to make the most of this one – especially since it won’t be as clean of a 7-7-7 mix as this one is (it will be 7-7-77 instead). The casinos are the truly lucky ones however, as they are going to clean up from the lucky day – as everyone puts their money into the slot machines, it will be the casinos that are taking it out.
