Wild Rose Holds Meeting

The June meeting of the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission was held at the Wild Rose casino and Resort last Thursday. There were several items on the agenda that they wanted handled, and they met in the slot machine casino’s ballroom to handle those matters.

The meeting consisted of the usual suspects, Toni Urban, Kate Cutler, and Greg Seyfer. They were also joined by Commission Director Jack Keterer and Chair Diane Hamilton. They were welcomed by Tom Timmons, Operations Manager of Wild Rose Resorts.

The mayor of Emmetsburg was also in attendance and was happy to point out all of the benefits that the slot machine casino had given them. Mayor John Schad said that they had brought in more than $800,000 for the city which has helped them tremendously with various projects that they have going on. Schad said that they were now well on their way to a “thriving, growing community.”

Timmons said that they could not have been more appreciative of all that the town has done for them as well. He said that by giving them a slot machine license they have allowed them to give the town revenue as well as several other charities.
