Greece Launching Slot Machines

The country of Greece has been dealing with their own economic crisis. They borrowed money from the International Monetary Fund as a bail out because their financial crisis had gotten so bad over there. But they needed to find out how they could possibly pay this amount back so they turned to the only place that would make sense – gambling. They realized that slot machines are a billion dollar industry and that if they would use those slot machines to bring in money for the country then they might be able to pay back their loan more sooner than later.

So they decided that they are going to bring in low price slot machines and allow online gambling so that they can bring in money for their country to pay off the debt and get them out of their economic hole that they are in. Their finance minister announced that they are making drastic changes to their gambling policies. They are hoping to have online gambling back in effect by May 201 and slot machines up and running much sooner.

They are dealing with a huge economic crisis – one that a larger country might be able to deal with internally. Yes, other countries have had similar problems but by tightening their belts they were able to take care of it – Greece does not have that luxury so they see slot machines as their way out of debt. There is no current reason to think that this might not work – except for the fact that their people are in the same economic crisis that their country is.
