Bettsson Doing Well Financially

The Full Year Report for Bettsson’s online casino and gambling firm shows that the Swedish Firm has been doing well for itself. They showed that the group had made SEK 391 million; with an operating profit of SEK 59.7 million for the year started January 1^st and ended December 31^st for 2006.

The firm increased its winnings 93% over 2005, with their fourth quarter being their strongest at a healthy 100% profit over the previous year. Their operating profits were up by 183% which has many believing that this year will be even better. They say that the reason they did so well is because their online gambling activities have increased as have their customers.

Even with the removal of their US based customers, they still showed record profits. In October, they chose to remove all of their US customers as well as close down Casinodomain.com – as it had mostly US customers playing on it. They also removed their US customers from CasinoEuro.com and CherryCasino.com.

Betsson says that removing their US customers from their base was not a big concern however, as it has been a “non-priority” market for them for a long time now, and they have found a bigger market in Europe. They will have to see however, how it will affect their final numbers for 2007 once they take in to account the loss of those betters.
