Lake Tahoe Casino Now
Smoke Free
It is
true, and many think the wave of the future, but casinos are now
starting to see that it is in the best interest of their
employees and their customers to be smoke free. Harrah’s Lake
Tahoe’s Stateline Bill’s is officially the first casino to be
completely smoke free. With many of the casinos being made to
add smokeless areas because of state law, some casinos are
looking to become completely smoke free.
Harrah’s
decided to use the casino’s 20th anniversary to start
a new trend for their Nevada casino, and to possibly set the
stage for the other Nevada casinos as well. Some are looking to
follow in their footsteps already, after realizing that the
casinos don’t lose revenue because of the anti-smoking laws as
originally thought.
Years
ago it seemed that the casinos would never be affected by the
smoking bans that had started cropping up, but now you see it in
Atlantic City, Las Vegas, anywhere that slot machines are
offered, people are trying to make it a smoke free experience.
However, Bill’s has the idea that not only will the non-smoking
atmosphere make it a better place for their employees, it is
also going to bring in a new crowd who doesn’t want to go to the
larger casinos and breathe in the smoke.
They are
marketing themselves to a new generation – the baby boomers and
beyond – who know the dangers of smoking and chose to heed the
warnings. More and more of that group are choosing not to smoke,
or they never started to begin with. They are looking for fun in
a healthy environment, and Bill’s is the place they will want to
be.
