The long waited for, eagerly anticipated Indiana Live! Casino is finally open and residents and visitors alike could not be more thrilled. The casino and its thousands of slot machines has been under construction for a seemingly long time and they just can’t wait to start playing. Now, of course, they have had a temporary location that they have been playing the slot machines at, but they all knew what was coming and that was enough to drive them crazy.

The slot machine casino saw more than 8,000 people go through their doors on their first day of business. The traffic was backed up for miles as people headed over to see what exactly they had been waiting for all this time. The slot machines were being run to capacity and many of the venues and restaurants quickly became standing room only.

Less than two hours before their grand opening, workers were there taking care of those little things that needed to happen before they could officially open for business. They were still putting down grass and watering it, all in preparation for the biggest thing to happen to slot machines since the temporary location opened. Meanwhile, a line had already formed outside the casino as patrons itched to be the first to play the slot machines in their new home.

The slot machines and the structure were at their maximum capacity only one and a half hours after opening, and many were forced to stand outside waiting for those that might exit. They had a total of 8,615 people inside at a time, and many of those were simply paying customers. This did not include all of those that were dignitaries and invited guests.
