Casinos Funding Education?

Some college students have gotten off to the wrong foot in their college programs, perhaps they need to go back to high school for a basic common sense education? There is a disturbing trend among college students to try and take what little money they have and spend it at a casino, trying to make it more than what it was.

Many college students work hard for their money, so to take it to a slot machine or poker table and try and make it into more than it was is not only disturbing, it is stupid. But this is exactly what is happening. Those that are close enough to go to an actual casino will do so, and those that aren’t are playing online.

And what about the parents that are funding their child’s education? I am sure that they are not thrilled, or even aware, that their child is spending their parents’ hard earned money at a slot machine. Some say they are doing it just for fun, but others say that they have increased the amount of money that they already have, so they know that it works for them. They know? Is it possible for them to be any more naive?

All I know is that if you can truly afford to lose money, you have a trust fund or a job of your own and are paying all of your own college expenses – then by all means, go have some fun at the slot machines or poker tables, or even the roulette wheels. However, if your parents are funding you in anyway, show some respect and not spend their money in foolish endeavors instead of paying rent or buying food or books.
