Because these are the people who will have an enjoyable time and will come back.

Those that feel that they were tricked into coming in is not where they want to spend their marketing dollars. They don’t want to spend their time trying to establish a relationship with someone who doesn’t want to be there because not only is that a waste of money for them, but it is also bad press – for undoubtedly that person will tell two friends, and they’ll tell two friends, etc.

They want people to have a good time, and that means that they need o feel that they were given their money’s worth, and that they had a good time. Because the next time this person feels like playing the slot machines, they want them to think of them instead of their competition.
