Keeping a RecordSometimes it is important to see what you have on your screen at a later date. Sometimes it is just a matter of wanting to show people your big win, or maybe you need to show customer service or technical support some problem with your software or something weird happening on your screen. No matter what your need is, you can easily have a record of what your screen looks like. You can take a photo of what is showing on your computer screen with something called a screenshot. The best way to do this is to first make sure that what you want is displayed on the screen and not minimized in a separate window – and make sure that nothing else is showing, just what you want the photo of. You then will hit the PrtScrn button which enables your computer to essentially print the screen you are looking at. Your screen has now been saved in temporary memory so that you can now save it. Open something similar to MS Paint or Adobe Photoshop and they will allow you to edit the photo. You can also open Microsoft Word and just put the print into it as well. Or send it in an email by opening your email program and dropping it into an email. Once you have your means of saving it open, you can either hit Ctrl+V or go to Edit and click paste. Either way your photo will now be in your document of choice. You can always go back and do it again if you don’t like your original photo, just repeat the above steps until you have the photo you want. You can then save it to your hard drive or send it in an email. You can do this anytime you want to save an image for someone to see to share your moment, or to report an error or a problem.
