Another Table Games Endorsement

With West Virginia allowing the four counties impacted by legalizing table games to vote on whether or not they will actually be legalized, many different groups are coming forward to throw their hats in the ring – some are for the slot machines, and some are against. The latest toss is for the games.

The Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce has put out their endorsement for table games just last week. The group says that on June 9^th they will be voting for the legalization of the table games at the racetrack in their county.

The group wants to see the Mountaineer Race Track and Gaming Resort in Chester to get the games as they believe that it would truly help out everyone. They say that the revenue that would come in would help out their region economically, and that they could bring in more jobs as well.

The group says that their area has seen a huge economic decline, and they have seen many jobs disappear from the area. They say that the table games could help them tremendously. They also think that it would help with their “reliance on steel manufacturing” since they feel that they are too dependent on it in their area.
