The Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana, says that they are not only meeting their slot machine numbers from the year before, they are exceeding them. They are consistently showing a profit in their slot machine revenues.

This same time last year they brought in $40.5 million, this year they brought in $49.2 million. That is a significant increase in slot machine money. The casino says that they think it is because they have so many things to offer to their clients – which are making them big players in the Chicago market. With the expansion they are truly taking over the northern gambling market.

They are also the closest casino for a lot of people. The Empress Casino in Joliet, Illinois had to close in March due to a fire, which put them in an excellent position to take over the gambling market for Illinois. They now have their clients, the Empress’ clients, and the new clients that have been drawn in by the expansion.
