Ohio Slot Machines Would Pay Out 85%

The amount of money that a slot machine has to pay out is always determined by the state in which the slot machine is located. The number can vary greatly from state to state, with some being significantly higher or lower than what is expected. The state of Ohio has determined that they are going to have their slot machines pay out 85% which is not great, but not as bad as it could be either.

Now, some people are very excited by the notion of getting back 85%, but those that live in states where the pay back is higher think that Ohio residents are getting ripped off. But the state seems to be happy with their decision, as do their residents, so who is to say any different? The Ohio legislature also decided that they were going to ban smoking at all of the slot machines and the casinos, which the casinos were not happy about. They were originally hoping that the casinos would remain exempt from the smoking law, and were disappointed to find that they were not.

They are going to allow them to drink at the slot machines though, until 2:30 am, but they will have to pay for it as none of the alcohol will be free. There were too many people within the state that had a problem with plying slot machine gamblers with booze, so they decided that people could pay for their drinks and thus remove any idea of impropriety on behalf of the casinos. There will also be a new commission that will oversee all slot machines and gambling in the casino.
