Indiana’s Newest Slot Machines

The French Lick slot machine casino had its official opening this week, and they expect to have their opening to the public Friday morning. The Indiana Gaming Commission will have to approve the slot machine casino first, but the owners are not expecting any troubles.

The project cost $382 million, and will have over a thousand slot machines. The slot machine casino is the state’s smallest, but it renovated two century old hotels and will have a convention center, eight dining options, as well as two golf courses. The slot machine casino will provide roughly 1,300 new jobs.

Two groups have worked for years to try and get the new slot machine casino up and running. The Cook Group and the real estate developer Lauth Property Group have worked together to renovate the old hotel to make room for the new slot machine casino. There will be a hotel to join the slot machines once the West Baden Springs Hotel is completed.
