Philly Slots Arrive

There were mixed feeling amongst the crowd at the Philadelphia Park Racetrack on Tuesday. The slot machines had arrived and some were excited, some were not.

There is concern among the horse racing fans that the slot machines are going to out power the horse fans, with the horse fans eventually either just blending into the background or disappearing all together. Those that come for the horse racing say that slot machines are the worst thing that could have happened to the park.

Others however, were excited to see the slot machines as they are a welcome diversion for them. They have wanted slot machines to come in as they offer something other than horseracing now, and they can’t wait for them to actually be up and running.

The first 100 slot machines have arrived, with another 2,000 slot machines on their way. The park is planning on having the slot machines up and running by December.
