Buddy Wins Big

Diana Buddy of New Hope, Minnesota, won a very nice bonus. She was playing the Wild Cherry Progressive $1 slot machine at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel when she won big.

What Buddy didn’t know was that she was playing the largest jackpot of any progressive slot machine in the state. Back in July of 2001, there was another large winner; a man who took home $2,847,899 – which to date is believed to be the largest payout in Minnesota’s history.

Buddy had played the maximum bet of $2 in the slot machine just before 3 am, and matched three of the “Wild Cherry” phrases on the slot machine. She had put $20 in the slot machine to play with, and hit the jackpot not long after.

She ended up winning $1,319,196, not a bad way to start the holidays, eh?
