Guam Greyhound’s Half a Million BetGuam Greyhound is determined to get slot machines in their racetrack. They are so determined that they have spent a half a million dollars trying to do so. They know that if they bring slot machines to their racetrack that not only would it revitalize the track, but it would also bring in millions of dollars of slot machine revenue to their pockets. This is what the opposition is trying to avoid. The group No on Proposal B has not spent nearly as much money as Guam Greyhound has, in fact they have only spent somewhere around $3,000 at this point. They however, feel that since the voters voted no the last time someone wanted to bring in slot machines, that they think they have a pretty good chance of defeating them again. John Baldwin has reported that they spent more than $500,000 at this point to get slot machines legalized, according to the Guam Election Commission. Baldwin has made five deposits of $100,000 over the course of a month into the bank account of the committee pushing for Guam slot machines. Their first report showed it had spent $259,785, the next report showed $453,805 – to get slot machines legalized. Guam Greyhound also showed that they had spent almost $100,000 in a separate filing. The pro slot machine group also said they had spent another $38,000 in radio advertising as well. slot machine, slot machine, slot machine, slot machine Back to October Index - Slot Machines Fan |
