This is worrying state officials, as they know that this is making it harder for gambling addicts to not play. Slot machines have been appearing everywhere, and with the new compacts sitting in the legislature – bringing in thousands more slot machines – officials think they have a problem.

Officials have decided to try and do something about it, and are expanding state programs to council gambling addicts and are running a study to see where they are exactly with gambling addiction. The new study will focus on how widespread gambling is, and how big the problem of gambling addiction is now that all of those slot machines are in.
