Lucky Dollar Bingo OpponentChris Parent, a man who used to work for the Lucky Dollar Bingo Palace, is trying to get the expansion stopped. He is opposed to the slot machines, and has a petition with over 300 signatures of people who agree with him. They are planning on going to the city council meeting next week and presenting them with the petition to stop the slot machines. He says that first hand he has seen the kind of destruction that the slot machines and bingo parlors are capable of, and wants to put a stop to it before it gets worse. He says there are people waiting on line at the soup kitchens trying to get food, who spend every dime they have at the bingo parlor. If slot machines are brought in it will only get worse. He says he also noticed that the better off businesses, whose owners mind you do not gamble, are in support of the slot machines because they think it will bring them in more money to their businesses. He said that these slot machines are taking money from the people who can least afford it, and it has to stop now before it gets even worse. He wants everyone, whether they agree with him or not, to make their voices heard on the subject of slot machines. He just doesn’t want the slot machine parlor to put in slot machines, and then everyone start complaining after it is too late to do anything about it. slot machine, slot machine, slot machine, slot machine Back to October Index - Slot Machines Fan |
