PA Slot Machine ProjectionsOne of the main reasons for Pennsylvanians to vote in slot machines was that they are supposed to help them with their property taxes. The amount of money that homeowners are paying toward helping out the public school system is staggering. But while they are waiting to see how much they can expect to see from the slot machines, various groups are making their projections as to how much slot machine revenue they can actually expect to come into the state. Each group has its own estimate of what they believe there will be. The goal is to have $1 billion a year in property tax relief paid for by the slot machine revenue. In order to make this mark, the state’s Revenue Department is banking on there being 37,000 slot machines up and running, each bringing in an average of $230 a day. They are also planning on another 1,000 slot machines bringing in $150 a day on average. According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Board, here are the other projections:
