Rendell Looks Like A Shoo-in

When running for public office, you really need to have that special something – that something that draws people to you, even though you haven’t done everything you said you would do. Ed Rendell is that kind of politician.

Ed Rendell has a way of making people forget the things he didn’t do, and keep them thinking about the things he did, and all wrapped up in a pretty package. He promised to drop property taxes 30% through the use of slot machine revenue. He hasn’t quite done that. He did drop them 10%, just in time for the new election, but that just doesn’t matter to most voters.

Most people say that they will vote for him simply because his opponent, Lynn Swann, does not seem like he wants the job. He has raised hardly any money, and when approached does not seem to interact with his constituents the way a perspective governor should.

All in all, Rendell has them eating out of his hands, and it looks like he is bound and determined to serve another term as Pennsylvania’s Governor, and it looks pretty promising.
