The Mystery of Slot MachinesSome people look at a slot machine and they see some kind of mystery – some kind of illusion as to when the magic machine might pay out. Others look at a slot machine and know that it will take their money and give very little back if anything. Slot machines are no mystery – they are simply a machine with a thing called a Random Number Generator. The RNG is what determines whether or not you are going to get lucky or not. The second you push the button or pull the handle, you have just decided your fate. There is no way to know if a slot machine is going to pay out. Just because some woman has been there for five hours pumping coins in it, that doesn’t make it ready to pay. When you step up to the slot machine, you have the same chance of winning as did that woman each time she pulled the handle. Hot machines, cold machines, loose and tight machines, these are all ways to describe a machine that is ultimately going to take your money. It doesn’t matter whether you use a club card or not, your odds of winning are the same for everyone. Slot machines are one of the things in this world that are considered random, and they are about as random as it gets. So remember the next time you go to play the slot machines, you will probably lose so don’t spend more than you can afford not to get back.
