ATMs to Blame

It almost sounds like a joke of some sort but it isn't. Local gamblers at various Pennsylvania casinos were reporting that they did not lose their money at the slot machines, rather they lost it at the ATM machines. The gamblers said that when they went to the ATM's trying to take money out to play the slot machines that the ATMs told him that there was some sort of an error.

The players said that the ATM machines said that due to the error their accounts would not be charged and they were not given the cash. But when they checked their accounts the next day money was in fact taken account of their accounts. One slot machine player said that the ATM took out $600 out of his account and he was more than a little upset.

It did not seem to be relegated to one casino either as various casinos across the state were reporting the same issues. According to the news Global Cash Access in California had a global computer outage within their network which affected all ATM withdrawals. They say that this is not to be thought of as something that would continue in the future and that they felt that they had solved any and all issue with the ATM outings.

Those slot machine players that were affected need to contact their local banks were they will help them get their money back into their accounts. Funnily enough they probably wouldn't have lost as much if they had just played the slot machines.
